Why we started OHTIC.
I started OHTIC after years on projects where the people deciding and the people coding never spoke to each other. I wanted a place where that didn't happen: a team that understands the client's business and, at the same time, has its hands in the code.
I still review the technical proposals that leave this house. Not out of control, but because I wouldn't offer anyone something I wouldn't want for my own company. Today we work with companies in sectors as different as aviation, automotive, retail and media, and we still prefer an honest conversation to a pretty slide deck.

From the first meeting to delivery, your contact is a technical person who knows the project. No intermediaries translating.
We tell you what we think
If a requirement doesn't make sense or there's a simpler way to get to the same place, we'll say so before we start, not after.
A clear team from day one
You know who will work on your project and with what experience. If someone is still learning, a senior is right beside them.
Short deliveries, no surprises
We'd rather show progress every few weeks than disappear for months and come back with one big release. Changes arrive on time and cost less.

What we don't do
Sell hours
We don't charge for warming a chair. We agree on scope and value, and if something gets solved quickly, that's better for both of us.
Fine print
Our quotes say what's included and what isn't. If something changes along the way, we talk about it before we invoice it.
Reports nobody reads
We document what's needed for the project to be understood and maintained. The rest is working software.

Take care of the code
Architecture, tests and maintainability. We treat it as if we'd have to maintain it ourselves in five years, because we often do.
Question with respect
If we think there's a better way to reach your goal, we'll tell you. The final decision is always yours.
Stay around afterwards
When something breaks, we answer. And when it doesn't, too: the relationship doesn't end at delivery.
